The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina
Beginning January 31st through February 18th, we will be collecting non-perishable items and raising funds … This text opens a new tab to the Croasdaile’s funding website… to support our community in need.
For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can provide FIVE meals
The Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for our friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 central and eastern North Carolina counties for over 40 years.
The Food Bank works across the food system to provide nutritious food that nourishes families, children, seniors, and individuals.
Food Bank empowers communities to overcome hunger
Through partnerships, education, and programs, The Food Bank empowers communities to overcome hunger, creating an environment where all North Carolinians thrive.
Food insecurity has emerged as a defined reality for hundreds of thousands of hard-working Americans who cannot keep food on the table even if they are working.
In the 34 counties the Food Bank serves, 588,240 people live in food-insecure households, including 183,850 children.
The Food Bank is working to provide more access to the healthiest food possible to the families we serve and build solutions to reduce the existing meal gap.
How you can help:
Please consider donating new and unused/unopened:
- Canned goods
- Cereal
- Whole-grain pasta & rice
- Peanut butter
- Hygiene items
- Household items and paper products
You can drop off your food donations at our dental office in Durham, NC.
Or if you prefer, please donate to the help provide meals.
