Dr. Turner Shares His Skills with Durham Project Homeless Connect

The 8th annual Durham Project Homeless Connect kicked off Friday, Oct 10th at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The annual event is a one-day, one-stop center to provide people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness with a variety of services including housing, employment, health and dental care, mental health care, veteran’s and social service benefits.

“We’ve seen an increase in the needs in our community and we expect to see a reflection of that during this year’s event,” Matthew Schnars, project manager,  said in a written release. “Since 2007, we have served more than 2,000 people experiencing homelessness and we really need our community’s support again this year so we can provide critical and basic services to those in Durham who need it the most.”

This year’s event was organized by the City’s Community Development Department in partnership with over 20 organizations from all over Durham including non-profits, faith-based organizations, universities, and local businesses.

Our own Dr. Turner was excited to be a part of such a wonderful  program. Providing much needed dental care to those who truly need it but cannot access it, is very rewarding. At Croasdaile Dental Arts we love being a viable part of our community. This is our home. It’s where we live and work. It’s where our kids go to school. Working for a better community can only promote a better life for all of us.

As a community dentist, Durham dental specialist Dr. Turner works hard to hone the kind of skills that will benefit everyone in our community. We warmly invite you to visit our office and get to know Dr. Turner and our team.
